Remember that new kitten I was writing about in my previous journal? We decided to name him "Pepper" instead of "Zot".

For some reason, "Zot" wasn't sitting well with us. It'd be a great name for another cat, perhaps, or some other kind of animal, but it just wasn't working for our new arrival. Then Janet came up with "Pepper" from somewhere, and it was almost a "Eureka" moment: it was based on his fur color, but wasn't an obvious or overused name like "Midnight" or "Inky" or anything like that. And a shortened form for a nickname, "Pep", certainly describes the energy this "tiny terror" possesses!

So... Pepper it is!
