Promises, promises

David's deviantART Journal

Just felt like I should explain the dearth of new works in my gallery the last few months. (yeah, yeah, I know - "more excuses")

I've promised so much artwork to so many people it ain't funny.

-An Akiko Daimon for :iconelee0228:

-I haven't forgotten the two remaining chainsketches for :iconstephenrsjr: and :iconjonkin:

-I've promised :iconblackkusanagi: a sketch of his Aurora character;

-Plus the new panels on the Tetsuko comic, and it's time I started working on the May TCC if there's going to be one.

-And there's this outside project (not a dA member) I've been working on for 7 years now. That's right; seven years. Mainly because I didn't just set aside everything else I have going and concentrate on doing only that. (If I had, it might have only taken three to six months; it's a big project.)

But I can't do that, just work on one thing at a time. I get ideas for things I want to do (some of which don't even involve drawing!), and so I keep setting stuff aside to do later. (Plus, as I've said before, I'm horrible at managing my time effectively.)

I did just wrap up a commission for two drawings (that also took longer than they should have).

And there's situations with my mom-in-law (who's starting to need more attention because she... well, she's getting old and less able to take care of herself than before) and my cat Booger (which I covered in a previous journal).

So I actually have been pretty busy lately; it's just with stuff that doesn't show up in my gallery.

Please know that, even if I can't thank you personally, your watches, faves and comments are always very much appreciated!

"Liberty is an inherently offensive lifestyle. Living in a free society guarantees that each one of us will see our most cherished principles and beliefs questioned and in some cases mocked. That psychic discomfort is the price we pay for basic civic peace. It's worth it. It's a pragmatic principle. Defend everyone else's rights, because if you don't there is no one to defend yours." - Blogger "MaxedOutMama"

Seriously, take your time. Everything can wait, even the TCC desktops. Family and pets are first priority, then the other stuff.....

I feel ya, DCM. I'm having trouble making time to shade my Baiken.:( The forearm is like a big wall standing in my way of progress.

Considering getting to meet you on my birthday weekend in Orlando, the wait will be well worth it, David. ^_^ Keep the faith and keep on truckin'! :D

Bugs : "Er, um . . . a Hare-um. I t'ink?"

[Smokey the Genie pops out, looks in the door quickly, amid more shrieks, then grins at Bugs]

Smokey : "Oh, THAT was a harem, alright! I know a harem when I see one!"

hope that you don't stress too much, Dave.

talent like your's does take time and you do have much to do in life as well as art, so some delays are undestandable.

and if you ever want something done for you, just ask, mate. :)

all the best on getting everything done. :)

David, if someone starts complaining, send them my way, for I have the Giant Titanium Wok of Doom! *echoes* and shall set them straight on why you don't bother a great master like yourself... *yes you are a great master artist wether you like the title or not!*

Best of Luck... and if you need any TCC ideas cast out the line, we'll help!
