As I mentioned in my last journal, we (that is, my wife Janet
Unfortunately, the news is not good. Booger has bone cancer in his jaw, and a life expectancy of only one to three more months. According to one of the techs we talked to, it's a "very aggressive" cancer.
There are "heroic" methods that can be attempted to try to prolong his life (radiation, or removing most of the upper jaw on his left side, for example), but nothing that will cure him of this condition. Most likely, we'll have to have him euthanized if he begins to suffer too much.
He's a pretty old cat - 13 years - and he's had a good life. We'll just have to steel ourselves for the inevitable, I suppose. It would have happened pretty soon anyway, because of his age.

Now I want something good to happen, to balance out all this s--t.

That psychic discomfort is the price we pay for basic civic peace. It's worth it. It's a pragmatic principle. Defend everyone else's rights, because if you don't there is no one to defend yours." - Blogger "MaxedOutMama"
