The second official step in entering Tetsuko in the Maidens 08 competition spearheaded by Each entrant must submit a "talent presentation" so here's hers.

I'm figuring that most of the other "contestants" (it's actually not a "contest" as such, more of a "showcase") are going to go with a strength feat as a "talent". So Tetsuko is taking a different tack, with a presentation that's at the same time more "traditional" and somewhat unusual... after all, who expects a Japanese-born American girl to be interested in the art of Middle Eastern dance?

Besides, I'd found a photograph a few weeks ago, a photo I'd taken back in 1980 or so of Elizabeth (the dancer whose drawing I'd posted here [link]) in a very dynamic pose, and I wanted to use that pose in a drawing of Tetsuko dancing. (It's the large figure in the center.) And since I'd already suggested here [link] and here [link] ) that Tetsuko was already a student of belly dancing, having that be her talent seemed to be a no-brainer.
