TCC = Tetsuko Cosplay Calendar

I'd originally intended this to be the second of the April TCCs, the "April Fool's Day" entry; but time ran short and the "Darna" TCC was all that got posted.

But because Squirrel Girl is a legit character, she can be posted this month as well as any other.

I have to admit I don't know much about Squirrel Girl other than what's in her Wikipedia article; but because I love heroines, and I love squirrels, the idea of combining the two is strangely appealing.

BTW, Scooter is a real squirrel. She lives in the Magic Kingdom park at Walt Disney World (although I haven't seen her in a couple of months, so I don't know if she's still around). Starting about three years ago, I think, she was coming around the pastel artists' stand in Liberty Square, where some of the artists (including me) would throw her peanuts. Well, over time, we'd try to coax her to come closer to get her peanuts, and over time, we'd won her trust enough that she'd come right up and take it from your hand. By this time, my co-worker Annie and I were the only ones still feeding her, and Scooter (as we started calling her) was getting so comfortable around us that she'd actually jump up pin my lap to get a peanut! [link] Unfortunately, she was getting a little too "friendly" around the guests (some of whom do not like squirrels At.All.), so we had to stop giving her food, so she doesn't come around anymore.
