Not only a patriotic theme for the month of July, it's also a "Tick Two-fer!"
I was having a hard time finding a patriotic-character theme for July this year; I've already done some of the most obvious ones, and others are obscure Golden-Age heroines like Liberty Belle that even die-hard comics fans wouldn't necessarily be familiar with.
Then I came across the book The Tick: Mighty Blue Justice! in my library. It's a compendium of information about the animated The Tick TV series... and reminded me that there was a heroine named "American Maid" as part of the supporting cast! Perfect.
Then, as I was searching the Web for better reference pics of American Maid, I found pics of the live-action TV show's version: Captain Liberty!
So here's Tetsuko as "Captain Liberty", wielding her Torch of... well, I'm not really sure what (if anything) she called the torch she carried, or if it even does anything. (I never watched the live-action series, unfortunately.)
Standard version (4:3) available soon ... and Tetsuko as "American Maid" are also available (I'll get the links posted soon!)
Tet-Chan makes for a great version of Captain Liberty (played in the live action Tick series by the beautiful Liz Vassey), though I really liked American Maid and the well muscled Jungle Janet from the animated Tick series. Great job here.

Professor Fate: Leslie escaped? General Kushter: With a small friar. Professor Fate: Leslie escaped with a chicken? General Kushter: No, you idiot! With a friar ... a monk ... a priest. [My favorite quote from Blake Edward's The Great Race.]
I wish that series had stuck around. I mean fine, granted, it was basically Seinfeld with superheroes, but still, it got the axe way too fast. Dratted FOX network.
