I might as well get this off my chest right now: I absolutely hate, loathe and despise the design they gave Starfire in the Teen Titans animated series on Cartoon Network. It's the main reason* I don't watch the show, and that's why I didn't use that for this pic. I do love George Perez' original design (BIG fan of Perez), though, so that's the one I used.
*That, and the fact I'm growing more and more irritated by the extreme stylization that's infecting superhero cartoons these days, especially the DC stuff that apparently thinks it all has to look like Bruce Timm designed everyone.
First and foremost, great picture, I think this is the most original Tetsuko cosplay so far (since it needs some special effects for the eyes and the flying
Second, I do agree with you that the original Starfire design by Perez is superior to the one in the animated series, yet it was bound to happen that they would change that, since it shows too much cleavage for a cartoon (were it an anime, they would have shown more cleavage and some panties to booth, look for some rosario+vampire in youtube to see this is an undestatemet), yet they insist that by stylizing the designs they are making it more anime-like (the ones for Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes are the worst offenders so far) and therefore more marketable. The reason the Teen Titans series did so well was not because of the designs (albeit Raven looks sexier IMO) but because the stories were entertaining, they should go back to basics.
There's no way the Starfire from TT on CN would have lasted against Tet-chan as Starfire...she was too skinny to be so strong...in my opinion. thought the show was ok but only in small doses...

I have to admit, CN's Teen Titans tried WAY too hard to be anime.
And you made it ahead of time, as well! And all through the year, with bonus material as well! Bravo and congratulations!
