So I finished and submitted my contribution [link] to the DisneyBabes DeviantID project [link] and was scrolling through the list of characters when I noticed two things: 1) that someone who'd already submitted something could then pick another character to draw, and B) that Princess Kidagakash ("Kida") from Atlantis: The Lost Empire was up for grabs! So...
Kida, as you might guess, was my favorite part of Atlantis. So why isn't she my favorite Disney character? Mainly in the execution of the character design and animation - she could been the ultimate "Disney babe" if they hadn't made the decision to go all angular with her face and figure.
So in a way, this drawing represents my "vision" of Kida as I wish she had looked in the film. I strove to capture her exotic beauty, her athleticism, and most of all her spirit.
