Two dA milestones approaching fast...
1) One million pageviews. Sounds better when you say it in a "Dr. Evil" voice: "one. MILLION. pageviews!" (OUCH!! I can't do a Dr. Evil voice - I keep biting the end of my pinky finger!)
I'm working feverishly to complete a special kiriban for 1M - after too many false starts and abandoned ideas, I think I may have something. If I don't get it posted right at the 1M mark, it'll be shortly after.
2) 200 deviations - I'm only three away! As a matter of fact, if I can work things out right, the 1M kiriban will be the 200th deviation!
And I think I know how to do that... but it involves a little bad news. Well, not
bad news, just a disappointment:
Remember this pic I posted a couple of weeks ago?

I'd intended that piece to be part of a calendar - a real, printed, hang-on-your-wall calendar that I was hoping to make a little money off of - and I'd also completed two other pieces for it. So I've got three months done... nine more to go. Unfortunately, a look at the calendar shows that there are only a little more than six weeks left in the year. I'd have to put aside everything else I want to do to complete nine drawings (having for all practical purposes only two days a week to draw in, and maybe an hour or two some worknights). Bottom line: a print calendar ain't happening this year. I just didn't give myself enough lead time.
So I'm opting to make the three pics I've done so far available as prints here on dA. They'll be up in the next couple of weeks; and if all goes accordin' to mah pree-cise calculations, I should be able to post two them as deviations #198 and #199, with the kiriban as the magical number 200! Then I post the third former calendar pic, and whatever TCC for December I've been able to gin up.
Wish me luck, and keep checkin' back!
